Privacy Policy
Your data, explained clearly.
StreetLink is built for drivers, not data brokers. Here's exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
Overview
StreetLink is a social driving and automotive community app operated by Maxwell Collective Co (“StreetLink,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how and why we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the rights and choices you have. It applies to the StreetLink mobile app, getstreetlink.com, and related services (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Last updated: July 2, 2026.
Notice at Collection
At or before the point of collection, we want you to know: we collect the categories of personal information described below (including identifiers, contact information, user content, commercial information, internet and app activity, and precise geolocation, which is “sensitive personal information”); we use it to operate, secure, and improve the Service and for the purposes listed under “How We Use Your Information”; we retain it as described under “Data Retention”; and we do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may exercise the rights described below at any time without discrimination.
Information You Provide
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, username (@handle), password or Apple Sign-In identifier, and how you heard about us. As you use StreetLink you may provide a profile photo, bio, and status; direct messages and community chat messages; marketplace listings, offers, and messages; drive titles, destinations, and route stops; friend connections and invitations; reports you submit about other users or content; support requests and correspondence; and any other information you choose to submit.
Location Information
With your permission, StreetLink collects precise device location to power live drives, navigation, route planning, crew visibility on the map, and optional automatic drive detection. If you enable live crew drives or auto-drive detection, we may collect location in the background (while the app is closed or not in use) so drives can start automatically and your crew can see your position in real time. We also derive heading, speed, distance, and trip progress from location. You control this: you can stop sharing at any time by ending a drive, disabling auto-detect, or turning off Location permission in your device Settings. Disabling location will turn off the features that rely on it. We do not use your location for advertising and do not sell it.
Sensitive Personal Information
Precise geolocation is treated as “sensitive personal information” under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) and similar laws. We collect and use precise location only to provide the driving, navigation, mapping, and crew features you request, to keep those features working, and for safety, security, and fraud prevention. We do not use or disclose your precise location to infer characteristics about you or for advertising. You have the right to limit our use of sensitive personal information as described under “California Privacy Rights.”
Voice (Walkie-Talkie)
During a crew drive you may use the push-to-talk walkie-talkie. Voice is transmitted live to the other participants of that drive through our real-time voice provider and is not recorded or stored by StreetLink. We store limited operational metadata about a voice session (such as which participants are connected and who is currently speaking) to run the feature.
Automatically Collected Information
We automatically collect device and usage information, including device model and operating-system version, app version, a device installation identifier, push-notification tokens, in-app events (such as sign-ups, drives started and completed, screens viewed, and purchases), crash and diagnostic data, and approximate location inferred from your IP address. We use analytics and diagnostic tools to understand how the Service is used, to fix problems, and to improve features.
Categories of Personal Information We Collect
In the last 12 months we may have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (name, username, email, account and device identifiers, IP address); customer records and contact information; commercial information (subscriptions, purchases, marketplace listings and transactions); internet or other electronic network activity (app usage and interactions); geolocation data, including precise location; audio (live walkie-talkie transmission, not stored); visual information (profile and listing photos you upload); and inferences drawn to operate features such as suggestions. We collect this from you directly, automatically through your use of the Service, and from service providers such as Apple. We use it for the business purposes described in this Policy and disclose it only to the service providers and in the circumstances described below.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to create, secure, and administer your account; operate profiles, drives, navigation, crew visibility, leaderboards, messaging, communities, and Marketplace; send notifications you have enabled; process subscriptions and one-time purchases; provide customer support; personalize and improve the Service; ensure safety and integrity; detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms; comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements; and for other purposes with your consent.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward only as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our agreements. Live walkie-talkie audio is not retained. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Some information may persist in secure backups for a limited period or where retention is legally required.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you; to correct inaccurate information; to delete your information; to receive a portable copy; to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” (which we do not do) and of certain profiling; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and to not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights. You can exercise most rights directly in the app (edit your profile, manage permissions and notifications, block and report, and permanently delete your account), or by contacting us at the address below.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources, the business purposes, and the categories of recipients; to delete personal information; to correct inaccurate personal information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share); to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information; and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You may make a request yourself or through an authorized agent. To submit a request, email team@maxwellcollectiveco.com; we will verify your request through your account email and respond within the timeframes required by law. California’s “Shine the Light” law: we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.
European, UK & Similar Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, UK, or a similar jurisdiction, our legal bases for processing are: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service); your consent (for example, location and notifications, which you can withdraw at any time); our legitimate interests (to secure, improve, and protect the Service, balanced against your rights); and compliance with legal obligations. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right not to be subject to solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects (we do not carry out such decision-making). Maxwell Collective Co is the data controller. Because we operate from the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the U.S.; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, authentication, and database row-level security. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.
Data Breach Notification
If we become aware of a security incident that affects your personal information, we will notify you and applicable authorities as required by law, without undue delay.
Children’s Privacy
StreetLink is rated for users 17 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and consistent with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), if we learn we have collected such information we will delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us. Users between 13 and the age of majority must have the involvement of a parent or guardian where required by law.
Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may contain links to or integrate third-party services (such as maps, Apple, or a user’s external links). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies. Your use of Apple Sign-In and in-app purchases is also governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to it, the Service does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. We do not track you across third-party websites for advertising.
International Users
StreetLink is operated from the United States and is intended for users in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have data-protection laws different from those in your country.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
